Reflection 反思

One pivotal lesson from this project was recognizing that a client’s actual needs and constraints often diverge from initial assumptions. While I entered the collaboration with a focus on systemic solutions, OSA’s institutional pressures on budget limits and tight timelines revealed a gap between my singular approach and their multifaceted reality. This taught me to approach proposals with greater humility by actively probing for hidden priorities, such as data privacy concerns and conventional timelines, before defining project deliverables. In future projects, I would similarly advocate for equitable design principles but differently prioritize early, structured dialogues with stakeholders to align expectations. I would also be agile and flexible to accommodate unforeseen constraints and balance compromise. Ultimately, this experience underscores the importance of viewing clients as partners in problem-solving, not just recipients of expertise, to co-create principled and realistically viable solutions.

該專案的一個重要教訓是認識到客戶的實際需求和限制往往與最初的假設不同。雖然我參與合作時重點關注系統解決方案,但 OSA 在預算限制和緊迫時間表方面的機構壓力暴露了我單一的方法與他們多方面的現實之間的差距。這教會我在定義專案可交付成果之前,透過積極探究隱藏的優先事項(例如資料隱私問題和傳統時間表),以更謙遜的方式處理提案。在未來的專案中,我同樣會提倡公平的設計原則,但會優先考慮與利害關係人進行早期的結構化對話,以協調期望。我也會變得敏捷和靈活,以適應不可預見的限制並平衡妥協。最終,這種經驗強調了將客戶視為解決問題的合作夥伴而不僅僅是專業知識的接受者的重要性,以共同創造有原則且切實可行的解決方案。

My reflection centers on the importance of trust and negotiation dynamics in the consulting process and designing deliverables. The entire journey underscores the critical role of trust at every milestone via intentional, client-centered approaches; this aligns with Block’s principles of credibility (2011). Prioritizing empathy and accessibility creates a platform where transparency and sincerity can thrive between both parties. My adaptability and agility, as traits of negotiation dynamics, have become catalysts to fostering problem-solving skills (Kaur et al., 2025). I truly see that the values of compromising and resilience are by far more vital than insistence over subtlety. Indeed, systemic barriers and hidden agenda often trigger stagnation (Sweller, 2021), yet win-win situations are always rooted in pragmatic empathy and approachability.

我的思考集中在信任和協商動力在諮詢過程和設計交付成果中的重要性。整個旅程透過有意識的、以客戶為中心的方法強調了信任在每個里程碑中的關鍵作用;這與 Block (2011) 的可信度原則一致。優先考慮同理心和可及性可以創造一個雙方都能相互促進、透明和真誠的平台。我的適應性和敏捷性作為談判動力的特徵,已成為培養解決問題能力的催化劑(Kaur et al., 2025 年)。我真正看到,妥協和堅韌的價值觀比堅持微妙更為重要。的確,系統性障礙和隱藏的議程常常引發停滯(Sweller, 2021),但雙贏的局面總是植根於務實的同理心和平易近人。
